Why I Started This Site
Well unless you’ve been living in a cave…..it’s easy to see we live in a “one time use” kind of world. It’s very sad, indeed. Do you ever look around at the masses of paper, plastic or cardboard packaging and think “That thing was good enough to serve me a convenience – it deserves to have a second life!”
If so, you’re not alone! Awareness of how wasteful society is in modern times is on the rise and there are people out there who want to do something about it; like turn all that “stuff” into an opportunity.
What Does it Mean to “Repurpose” and “Upcycle”?
Well, repurpose pretty much sounds like its name – to take something and come up with a new purpose for it. And “upcycle”, well that’s as I can best put it. “recycling with a twist”
Both approaches to crafting can produce great results equally. Now one of my projects…this is a guitar that I turned into a piece of object ‘d’art below:
