Decorative handmade bar soap that’s made from glycerin is a great way to add a special artistic touch to your guest bathroom or kitchen – as a gift it can be an extra special one for occasions like housewarmings or bridal showers. There’s nothing like being surprised with a bar of soap that looks like a work or art that’s almost too pretty to use!
Glycerin is one of the main ingredients in finished soap – I used to try my hand at making bars of soap using meltable glycerin bricks, as I was excited at the possibilities of what I could put in there since its transparent look would mean I could drop an object in there and let it float around.
Glycerin is very good for your skin; it’s a natural humectant and great for moisturizing. In the case that your recipient may end up using it!
The following line of glycerin soap I found, is made by the company Primal Elements and all of them have different themes, scenes, and seasons incorporated in them. The way the designs are from opaque soap pieces set against a transparent background is so cool looking! Set one of them in an attractive display dish and you’ve got the making of a conversation piece in minutes.
These are made from all natural vegetable glycerin – I love the look of the soap shavings on the butterfly wings above. I think these two here below are my favorites…That watermelon slice almost looks good enough to eat, doesn’t it? (but don’t! 🙂
Don’t forget if you’re looking or something to replace with holiday themes they make those too – just like the others above, they are glycerin based and naturally scented, with fragrances that “fit” the theme. These fall and Christmas ones here are just adorable!
Wow…these decorative soap bars are just awesome! And there are many others too in addition to these,. Which of these are YOUR favorites?
