Beautiful DIY Spring Wreaths For Your Front Door!
Hello Springtime!! Let’s diy some pretty spring wreaths for your front door! With a few adornments and tools, you can assemble some pretty colors and objects together and make a big splash for your entrance. Take all those symbols of spring like flowers, leaves, maybe Easter related like colorful eggs, bunnies and chicks – and merge them into a decorative delight.
Spring is the season of rebirth, renewal, and growth – speaking of which, make sure you incorporate lots of flowers! Before we get started, let’s look at some essential tools and some good springtime-themed accessories to make your idea come into bloom! 💐
First off…Begin with an armature wreath shaped form…the backbone of your wreath – it will let you focus on your object arrangement exclusively. Armatures can be metal, mostly, and they are round already, sometimes they have spaces in which you can weave ribbon, yarn, and other assorted dried plants.
I created an armature out of a coat hanger for my fall wreath project in which I used twig bundles to build up the design. It was fun, but time consuming! So if you get yourself a preshaped wreath form, you will save yourself some trouble.
Another thing I like, is those plain wreaths that are simple and built up with a mass of dried vegetation…from there you can weave your decorative objects.
When it comes to spring adornments…think pastel colors, lights and brights…colors like pale pink, lilac, mauve, light blue, mint, light yellow, and my personal favorite, spring green and light orange (which I call “cantaloupe” – I think that’s what it’s known as ) Look for ribbons that follow that scheme.

Go All Out With An All Easter Egg Spring Wreath!
Miniature Easter eggs make great adornments for a spring wreath…trouble is finding some in bunches or clusters that will fit. I’ve heard of people making their own springtime door wreath exclusively out of Easter eggs….I thought it looked really cool! You will need a wreath form to do this, so it will support the many eggs securely.

I used to comb Michael’s for the floral arrangement department and I could easily find cluster decorations made for wreaths – Easter eggs in a cluster/bundle would work great for this. If your egg decorations are free-form, you may have to use glue to attach them together.
Try to combine different colors, like pale pink, green, yellow, etc., for a more eye catching look!

Creating a Pretty Spring Themed Pattern
Here is my springtime wreath I did once (a few years ago) I started with a base wreath made out of straw like material (what’s that stuff called?) I combined lots of different cute little Spring and Easter decorations in one hodge podge.. Eggs, flowers, a vine, and a couple of miniature stuffed toys, just for kicks.
I’ve found that it’s not always what you use, but how you arrange things is what makes for a good design. Like alternating between eggs, flowers, etc in a pattern. I also made some beaded clusters…I don’t know if I was going for grapes, or wisteria at the time, LOL! Either way, it was fun to do.
So if you get yourself a handle of bundled springtime-theme decorations (like those you’d see made for flower arrangements – spring means flowers, remember?) and weave them like this in a pattern, and alternate between one flower type or color and another type, I think that would look really smashing! And it’s not hard to do either.
Don’t forget your finished springtime door wreath needs a focal point – a bow. 🎀 Gold (like I’m using) or silver would be a good color, or another one in a pastel shade or pattern would work very well. Try to gather some wide ribbon (about 2″ ) to get the best look for the bow.
Now your beautiful springtime wreath is ready for the front door! 🌷 Happy Wreathing!
